Taipei office held this year's International Women's Day event during the lunch hour on 6 March 2020 to promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion. The CSR committee members designed questions about this subject such as women's voting rights and equality issues. Participants were invited to compete for correct answers and rewards. Stories and information about the history and progress of women's rights in both Taiwan and the US were also shared to increase the awareness of diversity and inclusion. The event was fun and educational and the turnout was great.

Participants were photographed posing with the gesture of the International Women's Day 2020 campaign theme #EachforEqual to show their support in gender equality and women's rights.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, participants were offered an option to take part in the event online as part of the office's measure to counter the virus spread. Participants who chose to join the event in person were also wearing facemask to protect themselves and others.

International Women's Day 2020 campaign theme is "Each for Equal - An equal world is an enabled world". Equality is not a women's issue. Equality is a business issue. Gender equality is essential for economies and communities to thrive. A gender equal world can be healthier, wealthier and more harmonious. Collective action and shared responsibility for driving a gender equal world is key.

International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.

The first International Women's Day occurred in 1911, supported by over one million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.
