本所於2019年10月25日星期五中午邀請中華民國緬甸歸僑協會執行秘書李惠玲老師蒞臨本所介紹緬甸文化與在臺僑民概況。演講內容涵括緬甸僑民移居台灣的過程、緬甸僑民的生活習慣及風俗文化，以及南勢角特有的文化景觀及生活意象。本所同仁熱烈參與這次難得的機會，認識緬甸這個原本許多人不熟悉的東南亞國家。活動並備有緬甸風味餐盒讓大家透過飲食體驗緬甸文化。
Introduction to Myanmar Culture
Myanmar, the second largest country in Southeast Asia, is a Buddhist country, with a population of 55 million people. Yangon is the largest city of Myanmar. Also Nobel Peace Prize Winner Aung San Suu Kyi is from Myanmar. What else do you know about Myanmar?
We invited Ms. Li, Executive Secretary of Myanmar Overseas Chinese Association, to share her stories and talk about the Myanmar culture and tradition during the lunch hour on 25 October 2019.
This is a great opportunity to learn about how the Burmese people migrated to Taiwan, how they assimilated to life in Taiwan, and their community in New Taipei City. Burmese style food was also provided at the event. We had a nice turnout to the lunch talk, where participants were exposed to a different culture and discover the richness and diversity of the Asian cultures.
